Who Are We?

“Health and Beauty as God Intended.”

The Bottom of the Barn is a God-based company that collaborates with a small collection of farms to produce natural medicines and herbal products.  It is our desire to educate and encourage people that there is a light at the end of the tunnel for good health.

“We firmly believe that God intended for mankind to have good food, health and peace of mind.  The Holy Bible gives us the pathway, but we have to walk the path.”

“True Health”, to us, is defined as being perfectly aligned in mind, body, and spirit.  True alignment can only come from God, who gives the knowledge of how to care for one's body, as He is the creator and not we ourselves.

Many people either do not understand or become confused concerning the use of herbs, stones, and energy flow.  This lack of knowledge causes a great deal of fear, leading people to believe that the use of herbs, stones, metals and energy flow is ungodly.

Everything on this earth was created by God and energy flows through it all.  The God of Abraham created the human body and thus has given us all of the medicines we will ever need in the form of plants. With a delicate balance and combination of these plants, medicines are produced to facilitate correct healing of the body.

The following scriptures attest to this belief:

Ezekiel 47:12 (KJV) - And by the river upon the bank, Theron, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed:  it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out he the sanctuary: and the fruit there of shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Revelation 22:2 (KJV) - In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, [was there] the Tree of Life, which bare twelve [manner of] fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month:  and the leaves of the tree [were] for the healing of the nations.

Ezekiel relates to the natural healing of man, while Revelation is not only relating to the natural man, but the spiritual part of man.  This component refers to all the people of the world.  Both the physical and the spiritual man must be in perfect alignment with each other to promote true healing, which comes only from God.

Natural medicines and whole foods provide the body with the essential nutrition and aid to help prompt the body to heal itself.

Dr. Letitia Billups

ND, MH, MI, MTh, BS Bio.,CNC, CHS

Professions: Minister, Natural Doctor, Herbalist, Biologist, Chemist, Speaker, and Teacher

Schools Attended:

East Carolina University, in NC

Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA

Trinity School of Natural Health, in Warsaw, IN

Letitia grew up on a farm in Eastern N.C. Natural medicine and the love of plants all began here.  Her grandmothers and her mother taught her and showed her the beauty of plants.  Little did she know that God had a path for her that she did not expect.  As a firm believer in God, she believed that He would direct her path, and indeed He did.

Letitia's journey started as a path to medical school. Then it morphed into teaching, pharmaceuticals, priesthood, and finally natural health.  All of these stages were necessary for her to learn what true healing was and was not. Her broad spectrum background gave her valuable experience of helping those in need, and how we truly live and die on a cellular basis.

As time passed, her own health began to suffer.  Little did she realize at the time, that for all the years of working in the medical, pharmaceutical, and educational industries that she had been exposed to so many different chemicals that her body was severely overloaded. All of her organ systems suffered and started spiraling downward.

A few of her issues included, but in no wise limited to, liver issues, breathing issues, severe skin breakouts, spikes in blood sugar, spike in blood pressure, severe inflammation throughout the body, deterioration of eyesight, spinal issues, bone deformities, and an array of digestive issues. It seemed to have hit all at once, but she knew it had developed slowly over time.  Having positions that required a lot of time and demand, she simply overlooked herself, and now her body was paying for it.

The road was anything but easy. She went from a strong, vibrant and full of energy healthy person to one who could barely perform a simple task like holding a pencil.  Everything and I do mean everything was a struggle.  She prayed and placed herself in God's hands and the journey began.  She learned a lot in this process, more than she ever could learn in a book.  God is the true healer!  He holds not only your body, but more importantly your mind and spirit.  Without a sound mind, there is no sound soul or body.

She systematically assessed herself and formulated remedies to aid in her healing process.  It was during this time she understood that to truly help the body heal, you must treat the body's systems and not just chase after the symptoms.  With each treatment she could feel life pour back into the lifeless body she had become.

Losing and regaining your health, gives a new perspective and meaning to the statement, "God is truly good, all the time"!
